Honda Forza 350: The New Scooter GT from Honda arrives

Honda replaces the Forza 300 with the Forza 350. This new version has clearly evolved, but retains everything that makes a Forza so special. This single-cylinder intends to make life difficult for its competitors thanks to its 51 cm3 more, its exceptional top speed and its engine eSP to European standards.

Honda hopes to gain a large share of the medium displacement scooter market thanks to a new edition which expands the Forza family. We will step over the saddle of the 350 from next year. And this time, the Japanese brand plans to make as many profits as with the Forza 300 which had more than 1,000 buyers despite the health crisis. But what does this improved version have in store for us?

Larger displacement

In 2021, the Honda Forza 300 will give up the ghost to make way for the Forza 350. Finally, the Forza “330” if we stay logical, because this number refers to the cylinder capacity of the two-wheeler. And in this case, the machine goes from 279cc to 330cc, or an additional 51 cc. An increase that is not limited to figures, because it visibly improves the technical sheet of the product.

These additional 51 cm3 bring a power gain to the engine which goes from 25.2 hp for the Forza 300 to 29.2 hp for this new version. Certainly, the positioning of the medium-sized scooter will not improve. But it is obvious that this small advance offers direct benefits: a faster start at the green light, easier passage over irregular terrain, better recovery both solo and in a duo.

Other visible technical improvements

2021 marks another milestone in the history of Forza. And it’s the year, the 350 version
will feature a new eSP engine meeting Euro5 standards. This however retains a variator, a belt as well as adjustable traction control.

The increase also concerns the torque which shows a slight increase of 4.8 Nm. The Japanese giant affirms that the torque and power curves are significantly more expressive above 3500 rpm. In practice, this will have significant benefits on acceleration and top speed. This shows a gain of 8 km/h, with a Vmax of 137 km/h. This is a technical characteristic which largely corresponds to daily and urban use.

Honda also announces a 10% lighter crankshaft and an increase in the injection body by 2 mm. Finally, in these difficult times, the reduction in consumption is entirely commendable. In fact, the Forza 350 consumes only 3.33 l/100 km. A full tank of 11.5 liters will allow you to travel 340 km.

Notable mechanical improvements

At first glance, the design of the sports scooter Forza borrows its codes from the Forza family. You have to believe that Honda is attached to its aesthetic lines. Moreover, this new version benefits from the same modifications as the best-seller, the Forza 125. Thus, it is equipped with a new electric and adjustable windshield that is 40 cm higher. The instrument offers a total travel of 180 mm, which will benefit tall drivers.

Furthermore, by keeping a 15-inch rear tire, compared to 17 inches with the 125 model, the Forza 350 manages to free up 22 liters of storage space under the saddle in order to accommodate not one, but two full-face helmets. . With so much space you can even store a few extra things there. The location has also been chosen to accommodate a USB socket. Less practical than the glove box, certainly, but its presence remains practical for recharging the battery of your mobile devices.

Moreover, the brand is quickly catching up by slimming down the handles. passenger who lose 1407gr. This comes at the cost of some concessions, because now they are made of plastic and not aluminum. Less chic, but lighter and more practical!

The changes made have no impact on the weight of the single-cylinder. On the contrary, the machine only weighs 184 kg fully loaded, a few kilos less than the Forza 300. Also, we also notice an evolution on a stylistic level. This edition features Z-shaped side panels, like the new 125 cc. LED lighting highlights its lines, giving a sporty look to the fairing.

What about on-board technology?

Comfort and luxury are completely compatible, and the Honda Forza 350 proves it to us by providing this new version with a long list of technological developments known to date. Just like most new generation motorcycles, Honda equips its motorcycle with the Smart-Key keyless starting system. This option is also used to lock the steering as well as to open the seat and the fuel flap.

Likewise, this new Forza is up to date with connectivity by offering, as an option, the Honda Smartphone Voice Control. A very interesting application, because it will allow you to manage different functions of a phone while traveling. Thanks to the Bluetooth connection and the audio kit integrated into the headset, it’s your voice that does the work, not your hands. When it comes to security, there is nothing more practical.

Furthermore, the instrumentation has been redesigned without giving in to TFT fashion at all. The speedometer and rev counter remain analog, but frame a 5” screen which includes voice control.

5 colors to choose from

Obviously, Honda knows how to please its audience. Instead of being limited to two colors, the manufacturer offers 5 colors. Enough to put future buyers in a dilemma. The Forza is therefore available in timeless black (Pearl Nightstar), blue (Matt Pearl Pacific), white (Pearl Cool), metallic gray (Mat Cynos) and matte gray (Pearl Falcon). The Japanese giant has favored neutral tones, to offer great possibilities to all audiences.

Price and release date

Unfortunately, like many of you, we’re dying to know how much this new Forza will cost us. However, the manufacturer indicates that it cannot yet announce the price. But by consulting the price of the Forza 300 in the catalog, we have a vague idea. In fact, this version is sold at 5,949 euros, without additional options. The Honda Forza 350 will undoubtedly exceed the 6,000 euro mark. As for the release date, it will be on the market from mid-January. Hoping that the Japanese giant does not review its agenda, since many are already impatient to test this hybrid single-cylinder!
