Confined yes but not blocked! What could be better in this complicated period than to give your motorcycle a little facelift while waiting to be able to take another trip along the winding roads of your region? in addition to occupying your mind while waiting for the end of confinement, this will allow you to finalize your decoration project (if you had one!), to personalize or renovate your beloved titine.

What are the options for personalizing the look of a motorcycle?

There is no shortage of options to restyle your motorcycle. You can just as easily equip your car with a roadster-style screen, a racing shoe, aluminum footrests or even various carbon parts or other aviation hoses.

Apart from these options, all more or less expensive, if you have the ambition to radically change the style of your motorcycle, you will either have to go through the bodybuilder/custom paint box, film covering or, a very popular and above all solution. very economical, motorcycle stickers.

Motorcycle stickers offer countless possibilities in terms of decoration. Although there are kits and sheets of motorcycle stickers, you are free to make your own by choosing each element of your future adhesive decoration.

Original type deco kit and personalized motorcycle stickers

If you are the happy owner of a vintage motorcycle or one from the 90s and early 2000s, you know how complicated it can be to find the original sticker marking from the manufacturer. For this, it is imperative to direct you towards a online store to buy motorcycle stickers corresponding to your model. Whether you are more Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki or more in the Biker / Harley-Davidson spirit, you will easily find a kit or models corresponding to your machine.

What about motorcycle rim stripes?

Having become essential (yes yes!), rim stripes for motorcycles are more and more often offered by the manufacturers themselves as an option when purchasing your machine. This has the advantage of not having to do it yourself but also has the disadvantage of not being able to choose from one of the unique models that some manufacturers offer. If you plan to install your rim stripes yourself, know that the pre-curved models are the easiest to install. Those delivered on a roll are much more complicated to glue and offer a much less attractive result. The same goes for those sold with an applicator.

How to apply motorcycle stickers to your fairings?

Installing motorcycle stickers is not in itself very complicated, provided of course that you respect a few basic rules that I will explain to you here.

The fairings (or any other installation surface) must be clean, dusted and degreased. To do this, do not use greasy products that may leave a protective layer after application. This will have the effect of simply preventing the glue from setting. Favor neutral products such as F gasoline or a special product such as Hexis, for example.

Do not try to wash your motorcycle immediately after applying your stickers! in fact, this type of adhesive can take up to two days (48 hours) to polymerize. Not waiting for this safety period risks causing detachment and/or limiting the lifespan of your adhesives.

Finally, if you plan to keep your stickers for many years or if you use them to renovate an original marking, you have the option of varnish. Indeed, the particularity of vinyl stickers is that they can be easily varnished. This will give you an unlimited lifespan, unless you tend to eat the bitumen as soon as the opportunity presents itself! (Joe bar team inside)
